In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the adsorption/desorption screening test does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable. The substance is a substance of unknown or variable composition (UVCB). Its constituents incorporate an alcohol functional group on an alkyl chain, with carbon numbers in the range C14 - C20, predominantly containing C16 - C18 alcohols.
Calculated log Koc values of 5 - 6.3 were determined for the constituents of the substance using the TGD hydrophobics calculation method (EC 2003).
