Conclusion on classification

No constituents have acute toxicity at the limit of solubility, therefore no Acute classification for the environment is required.

The substance is classified Category Chronic 3 for the environment. This conclusion is reached whether a toxic units method based on contribution of the constituents present, or the additivity method for mixtures from the CLP regulation, is applied.

1)     Using the toxic units method (refer to Section 6.1.4 in IUCLID): Loading rate 0.17 mg/l whole substance gives a TU of 1. Since the constituents are rapidly degrading this result therefore meets the critiera for classification as aquatic category Chronic 3.  

2)     Criteria are defined in the CLP Regulation based on the classifications and proportions of the constituents. The following condition is met, indicating the mixture should be classified as category Chronic 3 (the criteria for mixture Chronic 1 or 2 are not met):  Sum of components classified as: (M×100×Chronic 1) + (10×Chronic 2) + Chronic 325 %.
