Additional information - workers

No long-term mammalian toxicity data are available therefore DNELs cannot be quantified for the registered substance 3 -(triethoxysilyl)propanethiol. DNELs will be calculated and the exposure assessment performed when the results of the ongoing OECD 408 and 414 tests are available.

No hazards were identified in the available acute toxicity, irritation and sensitisation studies.

Additional information - General Population

There are no consumer uses of 3-(triethoxysilyl)propanethiol therefore DNELs for the dermal route are not required for the general population. An oral and inhalation DNELs are needed for the purposes of assessing exposure to humans via the environment.

No long-term mammalian toxicity data are available therefore DNELs cannot be quantified for the 3-(triethoxysilyl)propanethiol. DNELs will be calculated and the exposure assessment performed when the results of the ongoing OECD 408 and 414 tests are available.

No hazards were identified in the available acute toxicity, irritation and sensitisation studies.
