Description of key information

The Koc value of 324.2 is used to describe the adsorption potential of TCPP.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:

Additional information

The adsorption coefficient for TCPP has been determined to be 324, logKoc 2.51. This value was determined by a QSAR calculation using the LogKow method for the main constituents of TCPP (using the Estimation Program Interface EPI-Suite version 4.11 (KOCWIN)). This value is in line with the ones selected in the EU RAR document.

The Koc value is supported by a determination carried out using an HPLC screening method according to the EU Method C.19 (Estimation of the Adsorption Coefficient (KOC) on Soil and Sewage Sludge Using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)), (Cuthbert and Mullee, 2002) revealing a value of Koc 576, logKoc 2.76.
