Name:
Reaction products of phosphoryl trichloride and 2-methyloxirane (TCPP)
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
liquid
Reference substance:
Reaction products of phosphoryl trichloride and 2-methyloxirane (TCPP)
Reference substance:
Reaction products of phosphoryl trichloride and 2-methyloxirane (TCPP)
Reference substance:
Reaction products of phosphoryl trichloride and 2-methyloxirane (TCPP)
Reference substance:
Reaction products of phosphoryl trichloride and 2-methyloxirane (TCPP)
Reference substance:
Reaction products of phosphoryl trichloride and 2-methyloxirane (TCPP)
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

TCPP is not ready biodegradable and although showing inherent biodegradation TCPP also does not fullfil the inherent biodegradability criteria of >/= 70% mineralisation within 14 days. Therefore, TCPP fulfils the P-criterion.

With a measured BCF (fish) of >14 and a calculated BCF of 6.58 TCPP is not bioaccumulative. Therefore, TCPP does not fulfil the B-criterion.

Based on the available data the T-criterion is not fulfilled.

As laid down in the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 253/2011 Annex XIII a substance is considered as PBT/vPvB if it fulfils the persistence, bioaccumulation and toxicity criteria. Hence, the substance is not a PBT/vPvB candidate as it does not fulfil the B- and T-criterion.
