Additional information

As the submission substance is highly hydrophilic (log Pow < -3.5) and non-ionic (uncharged), it will distribute solely to the aquatic phase. In the aquatic phase, no fast degradation is expected.

The available study on hydrolysis as a function of pH indicates stability at pH7 and slow hydrolysis at pH 4 (half life 89.1 h) and pH 9 (half life 329.2 h), yielding GUF (reaction product of glyoxal, urea and formaldehyde).

The study on ready biodegradability demonstrated slow biodegradation reaching 19% (DOC removal) after 28 days.
