Description of key information

Study not necessary as the melting point of the substance is < -20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted as the melting point of the substance is < -20 °C.

Two supporting studies are available. In a study performed with methods similar to EU test method A.1. there was no melting point on the thermogramm between -85 °C and 50 °C (heat capacity change at -41.7 °C; Clariant, 2010-09-14, 2010). In another study according to OECD guideline 102 (BASF, 08L00207, 2009) no melting temperature was observed between - 100 °C and the vaporization of the test item. A glass transition at -26 °C was observed.
