Description of key information

Testing demonstrated that there were no thermal events at up to 400 C and so it is considered that the substance does not possess explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Due to the multi-component nature, it was not possible to calculate the oxygen balance. The chemical structure of the known and reasonably expected components of the test substance indicates the test substance would not be considered to possess explosive properties as none of the groups known to confer explosive properties on a subsance are present. A DSC test and autoflammability was performed. This testing demonstrated that there were no thermal events at up to 400 C and so it is considered that there are likely to be no explosive properties.
