EC number: 206-108-6 | CAS number: 301-10-0
No toxicity to terrestrial arthropod studies were available for tin bis(2-ethylhexanoate).
The relevant dissociated component of tin bis(2-ethylhexanoate), namely 2-ethylhexanoic acid is water soluble (4,500 mg/L) and has a very low potential for adsorption to organic matter as indicated by a log Koc of 1.6. Therefore, the predicted no effect concentration (PNEC) for soil was derived from the PNEC for freshwater using the equilibrium partitioning method. Using this PNECsoil, the risk characterization shows that the PEC/PNECsoilratio for the terrestrial environment is <1, indicating no need for further information and testing.
