Description of key information

1,6-Hexanediol diglycidylether was accessd for ready biodegradability in a GLP, O.E.C.D. 301D Closed Bottle Testing Guideline study.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

1,6 -Hexanediol diglycidylether reached a level of biodegradation of approximately 47% within 28 days of treatment under the conditions of the test. Therefore, the test substance is inherently biodegradable and is likely to be inherently biodegradable when acclimated activated sewage sludge is used as the source of inoclumn.
