Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Executive summary:

The viscosity of 1,6-hexanediol reaction product with chloromethyloxirane has been determined using a capillary viscometer method, designed to be compatible with Method 114 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 12 May 1981. The results are as follows:

Temperature (°C)       Viscosity (mm2/s)

20.0 ± 0.5                     21.6

40.0 ± 0.5                     10.3

Description of key information

The viscosity of the test item has been determined at 20.0 ºC and 40.0 ºC and are 21.6 and 10.3 mm2/s respectively.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
