Description of key information

Two experimental results are available:

Partition coefficient log Pow (OECD 107, EU method A.8): The mean decadic logarithm of the partition coefficient (log Pow) is –1.3 at pH 2.5.

Partition coefficient log Pow (OECD 107):  –2.36 at pH 4, –2.78 at pH 7 and –2.68 at pH 9

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
-1.3
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Test 1 (key study; Wenighofer 2010):

The partition coefficient was determined using the shake flask method at pH 2.5.

The recovery in both phases was between 99.2 and 102.4 %. The pH values of the aqueous phases were 2.5. The temperature during the procedure was 20.0 °C.

The mean n-octanol/water partition coefficient (Pow) of the test substance is 0.052 (standard deviation = 0.002, n = 6), the mean decadic logarithm (log Pow) is –1.29.

Test 2 (RA-A (MAN). WoE. Springborn 2002):

Partition coefficient log Pow (OECD 107, EU method A.8.). –2.36 at pH 4, –2.78 at pH 7 and –2.68 at pH 9.
