Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A surface tension of 48.8 mN/m at 21 °C was detected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The experiment was conducted by BASF AG in 1985. The Surface Tension was determined at 21 °C and was found to be 48.8 nM/m .

However, this surface tension of 48.8 mN/m at 21 °C for the pure substance is not suitable to be compared with the surface activity (surface tension of an aqueous preparation with 1 g/L at 20 °C).
