Additional information

The toxicity of octocrilene to fish was tested in two guideline studies. In a study conducted according to EU Method C.1 the test fish (Brachydanio rerio) were exposed to the substance for 96 hours at a max. nominal test concentration of 0.5 mg/l. At test termination a LC50 > 0.5 mg/l was determined (Bayer AG 1995). In a second test according to German standard DIN 38412, part 15 Leuciscus idus was exposed for 96 hours to test substance concentrations of 5000 mg/l and 10000 mg/l. At termination of a LC50 of > 10000 mg/l was determined (BASF AG, 1990).
