Description of key information

Additional information

In a scientific literature, the acute toxicity of various marinoe organisms (i.e. Isochrysis galbana, Mytilus galloprovincialis and Paracentrotus lividus) towards Octocrylene was investigated (Giraldo et al. 2017). All tests were carried out as non-GLP using non-standardised protocols. The resulting effect concentrations were as follows:

1. Isochrysis galbana: EC50 > 150 µg/L, EC10: 40 µg/L; NOEC 40 µg/L

2. Mytilus galloprovincialis: EC50 > 650 µg/L, EC10: 511 µg/L; NOEC 20 µg/L

3. Paracentrotus lividus: EC50 737 µg/L, EC10: 162 µg/L; NOEC 20 µg/L
