Additional information

The toxicity of 2-(2-aminoethylamino)ethanol to Pimephales promelas was determined in a study based on EPA guideline 660/3 -75 -009. A LC50 of 640 mg/l was detected for P. promelas after 96 hours of exposure. The test substance caused an increase in pH in the test system (Dow Chemical Company, 1978). In a further test investigating the toxicity of the substance to Oryzias latipes according to guideline JIS K 0102 -1986 -71 a comparable LC50 of > 1000 mg/l was recorded in a semistatic test system after 48 hours (MITI, 1992).
