In a test on ready biodegradability conducted according to OECD-Guideline 301C (Modified MITI Test (I))

1 % biodegradation after 28 days was observed. Under test conditions substance is classified as not readily biodegradable.

(MITI, 2001)

A Bioconcentration test of 6-tert-Butyl-m-cresol was conducted to a guideline corresponding to OECD Guideline 305C (Bioaccumulation: Test for the degree of bioconcentration in Fish), 1981

The test organisms was carp (Cyrinus carpio)

At a concentration of 10 µg/L the BCF value is 63 at 33 days and

at a concetration of 2 µg/L the BCF value is 52 at 33 days.
