Description of key information

No signs of hydrolysis were observed at pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9 after five days at 50 °C. Therefore, the test item can be considered as hydrolytically stable at these pH values.

Additional information

In a study according to OECD Guideline 111 the ph-dependent hydrolysis of Acetoguanamine in water was determined. A stock solution containing 1000 mg/L of the test item in demineralised water was mixed with buffer solutions (pH values: 4, 7 and 9) in a 1:1 ratio. The resulting solutions were sterilized by filtration over a 0.2 µm Nylon filter, purged with Argon and stored at 50 °C for a period of five days. Samples were analysed at the beginning and after five days. The analysis of the samples (performed with HPLC/UV) showed no significant changes in the concentration of the test item within five days. Therefore, Acetoguanamine can be considered as hydrolytically stable at these pH values.
