Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Two tests for dusty Acetoguanamine are available evaluating the auto flammability on hot surface for deposited and dispersed Acetoguanamine. Both tests exhibited no reactions on hot surfaces.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test for deposited Acetoguanamine (100 mg) was conducted for 5 min on a hot surface up to 360°C. At the highest temperature (360 °C) deposited Acetoguanamine becomes a clear melt, vaporises and sublimates again. No ignition was observed.

The test for dispersed Acetoguanamine was conducted on a surface up to 600°C. No reaction was observed.

It is concluded that the self-ignition temperature of Acetoguanamine is higher than 360 and 600°C respectively. This is higher than the melting point (approx. 277 °C), which means Acetoguanamine melts before its self-ignition.
