Description of key information

In accordance with REACH Annex IX the study Soil Simulation Testing only has to be proposed by the registrant if the substance has a high potential for adsorption to soil. Furthermore according to REACH column 2 Annex IX, the study need not be conducted if direct or indirect exposure of the soil is unlikely. Due to its physico-chemical properties (high water solubility, hydrophilic, low octanol-water partition coefficient of -0.88) Acetoguanamine will not adsorb to soil or sediment organic matter fractions. Therefore, and also because of the fact that the direct or indirect exposure of the soil with Acetoguanamine is unlikely, sediment simulation testing is not required.
