Description of key information
Acetoguanamine could not be ignited. Therefore Acetoguanamine is considered to be non flammable.

The tests were conducted according to guidelines similar to guideline A.10.
On contact with a 1000 °C hot platinum wire, which was dipped for 5 seconds into the dried substance, Acetoguanamine locally flares up. But it extinguishes immediately after removal of the source of ignition. This behaviour is expressed by the german "BZ2" ("Brennzahl 2"). Within Germany this leads to the classification "LGK 11" ("Lagerklasse 11 - brennbare Feststoffe"). Nevertheless the result of this test is not sufficient for a classification of the substance as "flammable solid" according to CLP.
In a second test approx. 200 mg of Acetoguanamine were put into a flat iron bowl and heated with an open gas flame burner for 10 -15 seconds. No ignition of Acetoguanamine was observed.
In a third test Acetoguanamine and a 1:1 mixture of Acetoguanamine with potassium nitrate were put into a red heated iron bowl for 60 seconds respectively. Acetoguanamine as well as the mixture of Acetoguanamine with potassium nitrate could not be ignited.
Therefore it is concluded that Acetoguanamine is not flammable.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Due to this test results Acetoguanamine can be excluded from the hazard class "flammable solids" and does not need to be classified because the criteria for this classification according to CLP regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 are not fulfilled.
