Description of key information

From experimental study details melting point of the 5-nitrosalicylic acid is found to be 220°C at pressure 995 hpa by capillary method. At 101 325 Pa melting point of test substance was equivalent to 224.035°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
224.035 °C

Additional information

From experimental study details melting point of the 5-nitrosalicylic acid is found to be 220°C at pressure 995 hpa by capillary method. At 101 325 Pa melting point of test substance was equivalent to 224.035°C.There was no decomposition & sublimation observed for 5-nitrosalicylic acid at the melting point.supporting study also indicate that the melting point of test substance is in the range of 225 -235 deg.C.
