Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

in silico method, BCFBAF v.3.01, key data, reliability 2:
Based on the BCF/BAF method of Arnot-Gobas and including biotransformation rate, a BCF value between 500 and 1000 is obtained regardless of the trophic level.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

An in silico method for calculating BCF has been employed. Based on the BCF/BAF method of Arnot-Gobas and including biotransformation rate, a BCF value between 500 and 1000 is obtained regardless of the trophic level.

It would be technically challenging to perform a BCF study on fish or other forms of bioaccumulation study on other species at concentrations below the NOEC of the chronic studies as the substance is very poorly soluble in water, has a high adsorption coefficient and readily biodegrades.
