Description of key information

Zirconium oxide, hafnium and ytterbium doped is a non-combustible, white powdery inorganic solid. The substance shows no self-ignition at a temperature of 400 °C and the melting point is approximately 2.700 °C. The relative density is 6.14 g/cm³ at 20 °C. The substance is considered highly insoluble in water. The transformation / dissolution (T/D) test with Zirconium oxide, hafnium and ytterbium doped at pH 8 reveals that only ytterbium is released to the aqueous environment. An average metal release of 0.07 µg/L was measured after 7 days T/D protocol at pH 8. The mean diameter of the Zirconium oxide, hafnium and ytterbium doped particles (D50 value) is 72.56 µm.
