Description of key information

The vapour pressure of potassium sorbate was determined using the effusion method vapour pressure balance as described by the OECD Guideline for testing of chemical No:104 and EU MEthod A.4.

Additional information

Due to the fact that no detectable vapour pressure could be determined by the experimental method in a temperature range of 20 to 148 °C, the vapour pressures were calculated based on conservative estimates using the Antoine equation as

p(20 °C) =< 1.0 * 10^-7hPa

p(25 °C) =< 1.0 * 10 ^-7hPa

p(50 °C) =< 1.0 * 10 ^-7hPa.
