Description of key information
Based on a growth inhibition study with sewage microorganisms, the 16-hour NOEC for ethyl 3-ethoxypropanoate was determined to be 500 mg/L, while the 16 –hour IC50 for ethyl 3-ethoxypropanoate was determined to be > 5,000 mg/L.

One microorganism study with ethyl 3-ethoxypropanoate was available for review. Based on the available data which indicated that the study met generally accepted scientific principles, a Klimish score of 2 was assigned to this study. A 16- hour NOEC value of 500 mg/L and a 16-hour IC50 value of > 5,000 mg/L was reported for ethyl 3-ethoxypropanoate based on inhibition of microbial growth as measured by turbidity.
