Description of key information

In an acute toxicity study with Daphnia magna an EC50 >500 mg/L (nominal) was determined. Thus, the test substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

An acut toxicity test with Daphnia magna according to EU method C.2 is available (BASF, 1/0056/2/89, 1989). The daphnids were exposed under static conditions to the test substance at nominal concentrations of 0, 62.5, 125, 250 and 500 mg/L for a period of 48 hours. Under the conditions of this test an EC50 >500 mg/L (nominal) after 48 hours was determined.
