Description of key information

The test substance is in general with high probability acutely not harmful to fish.

In an acute test in Oryzias latipes, an LC50 >10000 mg/L was determined. Thus, the test substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to fish. This result ist supported by a respective screening test.

Additional information

An acute fish test according to Japanese Industrial Standard JIS K 0102-1986-71 using a static procedure and Oryzias latipes as test species, is available (JETOC, 1992). After 48 hours an LC50 >10000 mg/L was estimated related to the nominal concentrations.

This result is supported by a non-guideline screening test which resulted in an LC0 10000 mg/L (BASF, PF 44, 1976).
