Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Bioaccumulation in aquatic species: fish; OECD 305; Reliability=1; Read across from 1-Octanesulfonic acid, 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluoro-, potassium salt;

Bioconcentration and dietary biomagnification potential are low for source substance. Hence, it would not be considered a bioaccumulative compound for the source nor the target substance.

Bioaccumulation in aquatic species: fish; Reliability=4; Read across from 1-Octanesulfonic acid, 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluoro-, potassium salt;

The bioaccumulation potential of the test substance was examined in and in vitro trout hepatocyte bioaccumulation screening study. Test samples were analysed up to 240 minutes. No apparent loss of the parent compound was observed within 4 hours of incubation. These results suggest that the bioaccumulation potential of source substance would not be significantly affected by fish metabolism and similarly the target substance would not have the same behaviour.
