Description of key information

Based upon data from a structurally similar compound, the test substance is expected to be hydrolytically stable under acidic, neutral and basic conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
1 yr
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

No hydrolysis study with the test substance is available. An OECD Guideline 111 study with Ethaneperoxoic acid, reaction products with 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,9,9,10,10,10-heptadecafluorodecyl thiocyanate and 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluorooctyl thiocyanate was used as a read across to fulfill the data gap for the test substance. The underlying hypothesis supporting read-across includes the following: <NEED TO ADD JUSTIFICATION. Additional documentation, provided within the IUCLID Assessment Reports section, supports the read-across approach.>

The preliminary study showed that after 5 days at pH 4, 7 and 9 and 50°C less than 10% hydrolysis had occurred, equivalent to half-life times (T1/2) of greater than one year under conditions more representative of the environment (25°C). The test substance was found to be hydrolytically stable under acidic, neutral and basic conditions.
