Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The testing on Adsorption/Desorption according to OECD Guideline 121 resulted in a Koc of 1.7. Thus, UAX-1179 has a low potential to be adsorbed by organic carbon to soil and sediment particles.

Additional information

The testing on Adsorption/Desorption of the test substance UAX-1179 (CAS: 351197-46-1) was performed according to the OECD Guideline 121 “Estimation of the Adsorption Coefficient (Koc) on Soil and on Sewage Sludge using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)” (Tognucci, 2002). Different reference substances with known log Koc values were used for calibration (log Koc vs. log capacity factor k’). The test substance was tested 3 times and resulted in retention times of 2.98-2.99 min with a corresponding capacity factor of 0.81-0.82. The log Koc was extrapolated to be 0.24. The Koc was calculated to be 1.7. This value indicates that the test substance UAX-1179 has a low potential to be adsorbed by organic carbon to soil and sediment particles.
