The test item HEDP #13082 Nachsubstanz shows a boiling (or/ and a
thermal decomposition with evaporation of the decomposition components)
from a subcomponent (ca. 11 wt. % - possibly water of crystallisation)
earliest at ca. 103°C (at 981 mbar) according to the definition in the
OECD guideline 103.
Boiling point: HEDP-4Na melts above 500°C.
The boiling point of HEDP-4Na was attempted using a Differential
Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) method in accordance with OECD Test Guideline
103. During the study, it was observed that the thermograms show
evidence of loss of water at about 103°C and 981 mBar. During the
melting point study using same DSC method, HEDP-4Na was observd not to
melt below 500°C.
