Results and discussion

In vivo

Irritant / corrosive response data:

Application of solid hydrolysis product TiCl(OH)3 caused slight irritation of the conjunctiva. Aqueous hydrolysis product caused hyperemia of the conjunctiva.

corrosive
Remarks:
Migrated information Criteria used for interpretation of results: expert judgment
Conclusions:
Severe eye damage was observed following a short exposure to undiluted TiCl4. This is consistent with classification of the substance as corrosive.
