Additional information

In a 48-h acute toxicity study according to OECD guideline 202, water fleas (Daphia magna) were exposedunder static conditions

to nominal test concentrations of10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60 and 100mg/L Saponin DAB 9/10.The aim of this acute toxicity test was to assess possible effects of the test item on daphnids. Young daphnids, aged less than 24 hours at the start of the test, were exposed to the test item for a period of 48 hours. They were kept in a sample of defined water (M4 -medium) to which the test item has been added. Immobilisation was recorded at 24 and 48 hours after the test start and compared with control values. Following results were estimated: 24 -h NOEC: 30 mg/l

24 -h EC50: > 100 mg/l

24 -h EC100: > 100 mg/l

48 -h NOEC: 20 mg/l

48 -h EC50: 65 mg/l

48 -h EC100: 100 mg/l
