Phototransformation in air

Degradation rates for gas-phase reactions of the test substance with hydroxyl radicals and ozone in the atmosphere were calculated using the AOPWIN program, v1.92.

The calculated degradation rate of the test substance with hydroxyl radicals (OH) is 1.40973 x 10E-11 cm3/molecule/sec and with ozone 3x 10E-20 cm3/molecule/sec. The atmospheric degradation half-life of the test substance due to reactions with OH radicals is 0.759 days.

The atmospheric degradation half-life of the test substance due to reactions with ozone is 382 days.

Biodegradation in water: screening test

In the GLP and OECD 301 B guideline compliant ready biodegradability study the test substance (57% solution) was tested for ready biodegradability. Based on the rate of biodegradation of 30-40 % CO2/ThCO2 at the end of exposure the test substance can be evaluated as moderately or partly biodegradable.
