Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is a liquid therefore the flammability will be deducted from the flash point (see section 4.11).

Furthermore, no testing is required for flammable - aerosols,- gases, -solids, pyrophoric solids and self-heating properties as the substance is a liquid.

Based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
flammable

Additional information

The substance is a liquid therefore the flammability will be deducted from the flash point (see section 4.11).

Furthermore, no testing is required for flammable - aerosols,- gases,- solids, pyrophoric solids and self-heating properties as the substance is a liquid.

Based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available experimental test data is reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation 1272/2008. The flash point of the test substance was determined to be 6.0 °C furthermore the boiling point is > 35°C. As a result the substance is considered to be classified for highly flammable liquids category 2, H 225: Highly flammable liquid and vapour under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the eighth time in Regulation (EU) No 2016/218.

Furthermore, the substance is not considered to be classified as readily combustible solid, self-heating substance, substances which in contact with water emit flammable gases, pyrophoric liquid, pyrophoric solid, flammable gases or as aerosol.
