Description of key information

The test substance has a vapor pressure of 1065 hPa at 19.93°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
1 065 hPa
at the temperature of:
19.93 °C

Additional information

The vapor pressure of the test substance was measured using a vessel fitted with a previously calibrated pressure transducer and immersed in a thermostated bath (Honeywell Buffalo Research Laboratory, 2011). A sufficient amount of a degassed sample of test substance is introduced into the vessel so that the vessel will be between 10% and 80% liquid filled at all temperatures of interest. The vessel is given sufficient time to reach thermal equilibrium and the pressure and temperature are recorded. The bath temperature is then changed to the next desired temperature and the procedure is repeated. From this test, at different temperatures, a range of vapor pressures was determined.
