Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Studies are available for blown linseed oil (BLO) and blown rapeseed oil (BRO). For BLO, two Robra single species studies withPseudomonas putidaare available. As these are single species studies, preference is given to the OECD 301B study on Biodegradation. In this study it was shown that at a concentration of 15.5 mg substance/L, the relative biodegradation values calculated from the measurements performed during the test period revealed 76 and 79% biodegradation occurred, similar as the toxicity control. In the toxicity control more than 25% biodegradation occurred within 14 days. Therefore, the test substance was assumed not to inhibit microbial activity at the level of the concentration of 15.5 mg/L. For BRO, also a ROBRA single species study with Pseudomonas putidais available as well as an Activated Sludge, Respiration Inhibition Test (OECD Guideline 209). The latter, selected as key study, resulted in a 3-hour NOEC of 100 mg/L. Both values are above the water solubility of the substance (< 1 mg/L).
