Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Studies are available for BLO and BRO. The studies are conducted according to OECD 203 and are validated with reliability 2. For BLO, the study resulted in an LC50 of 198 mg/L, for BRO this was 625 mg/L. Thus, in both studies the EC50 values are all in excess of the solubility limit, hence in excess of 1 mg/L. The test solutions were dispersions, and in none of the studies the concentrations were analytically confirmed. For the data gap of BCO, the studies of BLO and BRO are considered suitable for read-across. The results of this category are read across to BCO, for which the highest toxicity (lowest toxicity value) is used. Therefore, for BCO a LC50 of 198 mg/l is expected, with the additional note that this value is in excess of the solubility limit.
