PNEC derivation: Not applicable because substance is a transported isolated intermediate under strictly controlled conditions.
On basis of acute and chronic ecotoxicity values n-hexyl lithium does not require classification and labelling with regard to acute or chronic aquatic toxicity. Chronic toxic effects requiring classification and labelling are not expected based on the respective data for the substance as such and its hydrolysis products (all NOECs > 1 mg/L).
