Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Details on sampling:
Recovery test in aqueous soil extracts:
- 20 g of soil were shaken with 100 m1 0.01 M aqueous calcium chloride solution on a mechanical shaker for 90 min
- the soil-water suspension was then centrifuged
- the water extract was decanted from the soil residue
- 10 m1 aliquot of the water extract (corresponding to 2 g soil) was fortified with 2.6-dimethylmorpholine in four different concentrations equal to approx. 0.05, 0.2., 1 and 5 mg/l
- 1 m1 aliquot of the fortified water extract was then radioassayed

Adsorption screening test:
- 2 g soil were shaken with 10 m 1 0.01 M aqueous calcium chloride solution containing approx. 5 mg/l Tridemorph on 8 mechanical shaker f o r 16 hours
- the soil/water suspension was then centrifuged
- the water extract was decanted from the soil residue and the water volume was measured
- 1 ml aliquot of the water extract was then radioassayed.

Results and discussion

Results: Batch equilibrium or other method

Recovery of test material:
On all four treated soils less than 25 % (0.9 - 16 %) of the 2,6-dimethylmorpholine are adsorbed. Therefore, according to OECD 106, no further investigations were carried out.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Leaching of 2,6-dimethylmorpholine into deeper soil layers cannot be excluded.
