readily biodegradable

Additional information

In a guideline OECD biodegradation study using method 301F, 2 -butyl glycol acetate was found to be 88% degraded after 28 days when using a non-adapted activated sludge from a domestic waste water treatment plant. Degradation took 4 days to start and reached 65% within the following 10 days, indicating that the substance can be considered readily biodegradable.
