Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Materials and methods

Principles of method if other than guideline:
Explosive and oxidising properties of d-Allethrin were estimated through the Benson’s method of group additivity with the software CHETAH 8.0 (ASTM 2005).

Results and discussion

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The criterion related to the oxidising properties is based on the oxygen balance. Results obtained show:

Value Units Hazard
Oxygen balance (BOX) -253,947 g O2/100g LOW
Total number of peroxide bonds 0,000

A compound with exactly the amount of oxygen required for total combustion would have an oxygen balance of 100%. Thus, a compound with a negative balance is oxygen deficient.
It can be therefore concluded that d-Allethrin does not exhibit oxidising properties.
