Executive summary:

thermal sensitivity - three tests were performed with a 6 mm diameter orifice plate and a second series of tests were performed with a 2 mm diameter orifice plate. None of the six tests gave rise to explosion or breaking of the steel tube.


mechanical sensitivity - three tests were performed transmitting shock to the substance by dropping a 10 kg mass from an height of 40 cm (40 J). During the six tests performed no evidence of ignition, explosion or decomposition were noted.
