Additional information

Three studies are available to address the endpoint on a weight of evidence approach, outlining the appearance, physical state, colour and odour of the substance.

In the study reported by Horn (1990), the substance was described to be a solid when observed at 20 °C. The study was assigned a reliability score of 2 in line with the criteria of Klimisch et al. (1997).

In the study reported by Nelson (2006), the colour and the odour of the test material were determined in line with the methods outlined in the standardised guidelines EPA OPPTS 830.6302 and EPA OPPTS 830.6304, respectively. Under the conditions of the study, the test material was determined to be white in colour with a pungent odour. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in line with the criteria of Klimisch et al. (1997).

In the study reported by Macdonald et al. (1985), the test material was described as a white crystalline solid. The study was assigned a reliability score of 2 in line with the criteria of Klimisch et al. (1997).
