Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A valid short-term algal growth inhibition study was conducted in the year 2008 on the analogue substance. The applicability of the read across approach had been confirmed by the registrant via an expert statement (see IUCLID chapter 13).

The 72‑hour EC50 of the analogue substance was calculated to be 1.8 mg/L for growth (which is the preferred parameter for classification purposes).

Given the applicability of the proposed read across approach, and based on the same molarity, for the substance registered the resulting EC50 growth rate is 1.76 mg/L and the NOEC 0.48 mg/L. These results basically were being confirmed by a study on the substance registered itself, with an estimated EC50 growth rate 1 - 10 mg/L, and an estimated NOEC < 1 mg/L.

The result supports the classification of the substance registered as toxic to the aquatic environment.
