- Incubation duration:
- 96 h
- Temp.:

- pH:

- Remarks on result:
- other: Water solubility in Ultrapure Water
- Details on results:
- The results of the main test are as follows:
Contact time [h] 48 72 96 Average
Concentration in ultrapure water [mg/l] 68.8 70.3 58.6 66
Concentration in ISO medium [mg/l] 77.0 72.3 75.1 75
All values represent rounded-off results obtained by calculations based on the exact data.
The pH values of the solutions in ultrapure water were all approximately pH 5 (pH 6 in ISO medium). They were measured with indicator paper because pH measurements with a glass electrode in a high electrical resistivity medium (ultrapure water) are not reliable. The obseravtion of a low pH, as well as the obseravtion of an additional peak on the chromatograms of the samples taken from the aqueous phases indicates chemical instability of the test substance under the conditions of the test.
Coments and Conclusion
In water:
The results show that there is no significant change of the measured concentrations after 48 h, 72 h and 96h. Thus it can be concluded that equilibrium is reached. Thus the results obtained after 48h, 72h and 96h were averaged, to give the water solubility of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra. After rounding off:
Solubility of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra in water at 20 °C is 66 mg/l.
In ISO-medium
The results show that there is no significant change of the measured concentrations after 48 h, 72 h and 96h. Thus it can be concluded that equilibrium is reached. Thus the results obtained after 48h, 72h and 96h were averaged, to give the water solubility of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra in ISO-medium. After rounding off:
Solubility of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra in ISO-medium at 20 °C is 75 mg/l. - Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
The solubility of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra in water at 20 °C is determined to be 66 mg/L in Ultrapure water and 75 mg/L in ISO Medium. - Executive summary:
The solubility of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra in pure water and in reconstituted water according to ISO 6341 was determined according to the OECD Guideline No. 105 (Flask Method).
The results are:
- Solubility in ultrapure water: 66 mg/L at 20 °C
- Solubility in reconstituted water (ISO 6341): 75 mg/L at 20 °C.
These results correspond to the saturation mass concentrations of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra in pure water and reconstitued water at 20 °C.
