- Under the study conditions, the test substance did not ignite from the flame of the burner. Instead, it was found to melt in the formed path and therefore was not considered highly flammable
- Executive summary:
A study was conducted to determine the flammability of the test substance in accordance with EU Method A.10. In a preliminary study, the substance was formed into an unbroken strip or powder train of about 250 mm long, 20 mm wide and 10 mm high on a non-combustible, non-porous and low heat-conducting base plate. A hot flame from a gas burner (minimum diameter 5 mm) was applied to one end of the powder train until the powder ignited for a maximum of 2 min. Under the study conditions, the test substance did not ignite from the flame of the burner. Instead, it was found to melt in the formed path and therefore was not considered highly flammable (Fraczak, 2010).

Based on the results of a guideline study, the test substance is not considered flammable and therefore does not require classification for this endpoint according to CLP (EC 1272/2008) criteria.
