Additional information

As key study a literature study from Birdié et al. (1982) was identified. It was conducted according to the American Public Health Organization (APHA) standard method No. 219 using effluent from a biologic sanitary wastewater treatment plant. After 5 days of test duration a BOD of 75% related to the ThOD was measured. In addition a Zahn-Wellens test as a prequel test for the OECD guideline 302B tests and therefore similiar to it was conducted by BASF (1977). After 13 days 3-pentanone was nearly completely eliminated (90 -100% DOC removal).
