Additional information

The only valid study on aquatic algae was identified to be the key study. It was performed by BASF (1989) according to German Industrial Standard (DIN) 38412, part 9. As test species the green algae Desmodesmus subspicatus (formerly Scenedesmus subspicatus) was used in a static approach. After 72 hours test duration a NOEC of 125 mg/l and an EC50 >500 mg/l were found, both related to the growth rate and the nominal concentrations.
